FIA CEZ Trophy at Sosnová

Marek Zeman with older Fiesta beats Pavel Koutný in brand new car.

On Saturday and Sunday April 9 and 10 the first round of the FIA Central European Zone Trophy 2011 series was held at the Autodrom Česká Lípa at Sosnová in the Czech Republic. Beside counting towards the CEZ Trophy the event was also round one of the Czech Rallycross Championship, the Austrian Rallycross Championship and the Polish Rallycross Championship.

While in the Supercar category Czech Marek Zeman in the older Ford Fiesta VI was able to beat his compatriot Pavel Koutný in a brand new Fiesta VII among the Super1600 campaigners it was the Pole Krzysztof Skorupski who drove his new VW Polo IV/9N3 to an amazing victory during his first event in the “big” class, after winning both the National Polish Rallycross Championship and Polish Cup of 2009 as well as 2010 for Fiat Seicento drivers.
