Fiesta Sporting Trophy winner makes Rallycross debut
Fiesta Sporting Trophy Shootout winner Steve Rokland will make his Rallycross debut at Höljes where he will race a Super1600 Fiesta rented from fellow Norwegian Dag Nordstrand. Rokland (19) recently completed a test in the car at Höljes (below) and, although he has not taken part in Rallycross before, was a hugely successful Crosskart competitor as a Junior. From Kongsvinger, Rokland is currently working with Ford’s World Rally team M Sport as part of the prize for winning the Fiesta shootout. “I am very excited to try Rallycross, I will do my best, but will not be disappointed if I do not get a top result. I must stress that this is something I do just for fun but I will still try to make a respectable run.” said Rokland who recognises that the Fiesta he will race is no match for the class leading cars.
