Junior cars to run with four-wheel drive for the first time

The cars in the new JRX Junior series will run with a full four-wheel drive transmission system in place for the first time during this weekend’s Belgian round of the championship. The new formula experienced a troubled start with the cars unable to race on their planned debut in Norway at the end of June and then appearing with only front-wheel drive in Sweden in July where reliability problems also afflicted several of the seven entrants. The decision to run front-drive only had been taken as a precaution but the cars entered for this weekend’s event have all been presented to scrutineering with rear differentials and driveline in place. The JRX field has, however, fallen in size with just four cars entered here, Kevin Hansen and Ada-Marie Hvaal, Magda Andersson and Firmin Caddedu.

* While snooping around the JRX cars on Friday afternoon we happened to discover the secret of Kevin Hansen’s speed, the Swedish teenager drives in bare feet!
